從基督徒的角度看拜拜

我從小在台北一個傳統佛／道家的家庭中長大。 媽媽早晚上香，初一、十五，逢年過節等等節期都會拜拜。我隨著媽媽拜拜，心裏卻總有一些疑問。 為什麼拜拜一定要用祭牲？上帝嗜血嗎？上帝為什麼有這麼多的怒氣？我們不是都憑良心做事嗎？上帝可以被收買嗎？沒有錢擺上祭牲的人怎麼辦？拜拜最後用躑杯來決定是否結束對我來說也沒有說服力。數學上的或然律和「佛說」也太糾結不清了吧？ 開始到教會查聖經之後，這些疑問終於一一解開。 希伯來書九：22「若不流血、罪就不得赦免」 上帝並非嗜血，事實上，希伯來書告訴我們，祭物和禮物，燔祭和贖罪祭都是上帝不願意，也不喜歡的，而是罪人要來到上帝面前的必要手段。公義的上帝不能無視罪，不能不罰罪人，而罪的工價就是死。然而上帝出於祂的愛，一直以來讓動物替代人流血使罪得赦免，一直到祂差聖子耶穌降世為人，死在十字架上，成為我們的贖罪羔羊，一次而永遠地完成了救贖。耶穌死了、埋葬了，三天之後復活，証明祂的神性，証明上帝悅納這個祭牲及敬拜。原來耶穌復活讓我們可以確知上帝悅納了耶穌的敬拜、是我們可以因耶穌基督的救贖而不再被算為罪人的明証。 擲杯與或然律混淆不清，但耶穌的復活明明確確地讓我們知道上帝對罪的怒氣已經平息、耶穌所獻的祭已然完成。 羅馬書四：25，耶穌被交給人，是為我們的過犯，復活、是為叫我們稱義。 原來，拜拜是因為我們犯了罪、惹怒了上帝。耶穌在十字架上的代贖解決了罪，也平息了上帝的怒氣。 那聖經上為什麼說世人都犯了罪呢？大部分的人不都是勤勤懇懇地做事做人嗎？但我開始看到有一些所謂的好人好事背後不純淨的動機，一些母親的「愛」卻叫兒女窒息，一些起於無心，卻為了名望利益而最終釀成不可饒恕的錯誤。人啊，真是「粉飾的墳墓」，真真不能達到全然聖潔的上帝的公義的標準。若不藉著上帝藉耶穌完成的挽回祭、如何能夠在上帝面前站立的住。 感謝天父維持祂的公義與慈愛；感謝耶穌道成肉身，為我們捨命、完成了挽回祭，又復活了，如今坐在上帝的右邊為我們代禱。獻祭一事已完全完成，我們在基督裏得以與神和好。 基督徒無需拜拜，因為耶穌已經完成拜拜，因為天父已經悅納耶穌所完成的挽回祭。 馬太福音十一：28記載、耶穌說：「凡勞苦單重擔的人，可以到我這裡來，我就使你們得安息。」 耶穌升天，得了天上地下的權柄，審判的事也交在祂的手上。基督徒死了的話會看見耶穌站在上帝的右邊、歡迎我們，如同殉道的司提反所看見的一樣。非基督徒死後看到的則是照我們的行為審判的主耶穌。上帝為我們預備的救恩乃由耶穌完成。耶穌是上帝和人中間唯一的中保。願聽到這福音的人都接受主耶穌為我們成就的救恩，而不是在審判之日，面對公義的審判而追悔不已。造橋鋪路的義行本是人所當行，並不能掩蓋我們的罪行，若沒有接受主耶穌的代贖，我們只能自己償還罪的代價，而罪的代價就是與上帝永遠的隔離，遠離上帝的美、善、與光，是何等的黑暗與悲哀！ 以西結書三十三：12，「至於惡人的惡，在他轉移惡行之日，也不能使他傾倒。義人在犯罪之日，也不能因他的義存活。」 九十一歲的媽媽知道自己時日不多、常感害怕，常常想拜拜，也拜託人幫她拜拜。我和她說耶穌已經幫我們拜完了、上帝也讓耶穌復活，讓世人都知道耶穌獻上的祭已被悅納。她每回聽說上帝的兒子代替我們上十字架，為我們的罪死了，都會眼睛一亮。但已失智的她會忘記，不記得，隔了一下又要自己去拜拜。我心疼那個堅持要自己拜拜的媽媽，因為她沒有平安。 傳道書12章一節：「你趁著年幼，衰敗的日子尚未來到，就是你所說，我毫無喜樂的那些年日未曾臨近之先，當紀念照你的主。」 主耶穌是救世主，也是和平之君。祂的代死成就了和平。 路加福音第二章8-14：「在伯利恆之野地裡有牧羊的人，夜間按著更次看守羊群。有主的使者站在他們旁邊，主的榮光四面照著他們。牧羊的人就甚懼怕。那天使對他們說，不要懼怕，我報給你們大喜的信息，是關乎萬民的。因今天在大衛的城裡，為你們生了救主，就是主基督。你們要看見一個嬰孩，包著布，臥在馬槽裡，那就是記號了。忽然有一大隊天兵，同那天使讚美上帝說，在至高之處榮耀歸於上帝，在地上平安歸於他所喜悅的人。 」

廣島短宣報告

廣𡷊短宣8/1—8/11， 2025 與美國人、日本人一起敬拜神 由於飛機誤點，我們抵達東京已是傍晩，牧師決定改變原訂計劃，當晚住在東京，第二天下午再乘坐子彈列車前往四個鐘頭以外、我們的目的地廣島。因這改變，我們得以在第一個主日在東京芥菜種教會敬拜。在這裏的敬拜使用英文及日文，拿著中文聖經的我深受感動，啟示錄中記載的有各族各民各方來的人站在寶座和羔羊前的敬拜不就是這樣！

比世界和平更重要的事工 這次去廣島在當地牧師的安排下去了原子彈博物館。 看到原子彈爆發之後城市被毁壞，居民傷亡、倖存者傷痛的照片，很是怵目驚心。也看到一些教會及社會人士積極照顧餘民並社區重建的照片。 廣島在經過這次莫大的災難之後，積極重建，並明智地決定把目光投向世界和平、期盼不再有原子彈爆發的發生。我們得以參加的八月六日（星期三）舉行的原子彈八十年紀念大會同樣呼籲，永遠不要再來一次原子彈事件。與此同時，我的心中也想起、尚有一個更可怕的神的震怒定會來臨，但這個災難藉耶穌基督的救贖，接受基督救恩的人卻必然可以逃過一劫。 世界和平固然重要，但人和上帝之間的和好、人和人之間的和好、人和自己的和好，更是重要。有眾多的人力與物力投入籌備原子彈八十年紀念大會， 相較之下，投身於宣揚耶穌救贖的人實在短少。 星期五我把這個比較和一位即將在九月開始在福岡市建堂的弟兄分享，他說他從未如此這般看自己的服事，很得鼓勵。 廣島宗教文化的體現及需要 短宣隊除了去了廣島和平紀念公園、原爆圓頂館，也去了嚴島神社及重建的廣島古堡，參觀了日本的宗教及武士文物。正如廣島芥菜種教會的牧師Ian McCollum 藉使徒行傳十七章提醒我們的， 看到日本人敬畏鬼神，卻不認識愛他們的創造主，真是叫人心裏焦急。但十七：27也說「祂預先定準人的年限和所住的疆界，就是要叫他們尋求上帝，或者可以揣摩而得，其實他離我們個人不遠。」 芥菜種教會為此而服事，我們的短宣也以此為目標。 配合當地教會需要的短宣 廣島芥菜種教會邀請我們幫忙主持週三的英語交流（English Connect)之夜及週五的桌遊交流、並支援週六的原彈平安音樂會及週日的崇拜及受洗禮。另外，週四及週五在街頭做五分鐘英文會話5-min English lesson)，藉此為週五、週六及每週三的聚會作宣傳。我們Woodside Bible教會提供的音響設備已經運到，短宣隊幫忙搬運及組裝。我們也打掃、清潔教會，在聚會中照顧嬰幼兒，且幫牧師他們照顧孩童使他們有夫妻約會的時間。 English Connection 芥菜種教會向社區人士提供英文會話訓練，希望藉此吸引人來到教會、建立關係並進而引發他們對基督徒的愛心丶喜樂和盼望的好奇，以致於認識上帝、得到救恩。 短宣隊這次介紹關於Peace的成語，比如”bury the hatchet”, “peace of mind”, “offer an olive branch”. 一番簡介之後分小組繼續練習。原本這個課程是七點到八點，但參加的人都捨不得離開，一直到九點半才結束。有許多常客出現，也有一位新來的朋友。可以看見這個活動持續做下去，必要豐收。 5 minute English class 除了在網上打廣告介紹 English Connect, 芥菜種教會也在人來人往的街頭舉牌子邀請。短宣隊在這一週替代芥菜種教會作街頭邀請的工作，好使芥菜種教會同工可以預備週六的和平音樂會。這是我第一次在街頭宣傳. 日本人一般不與人作眼光接觸。果真，即使我們哈腰打招呼，有很多人對我們視而不見，或是特意轉移目光。少數的人路過了，還回頭過來交談。這樣也好，一下子就篩選出誰目前尚無興趣、誰有興趣，有興趣的朋友就可能會按傳單上QR Code 上的聯絡方式來參加聚會。短宣隊分作兩兩一組，散開在一條街道的兩邊。不管人們有沒有興趣， 都可以默默的為他們禱告。這麼做的時候也觀察到一般路過的人都一臉漠然，一臉嚴肅，少有歡笑。廣島的居民實在是需要來自與神和好的平和。這項邀請的工作在風吹日曬的情況下進行（我們執行時大概華氏九十度左右），一個鐘頭下來，各組可能接觸到二到三人，不是一件容易的事，但馬太福音十一：28既然說， 「凡勞苦單重擔的人，可以到我這裡來，我就使你們的安息。」。耶穌的邀請必須要傳送出去。我們做了幾次街頭邀請之後，發現自己也愈來愈熟練了。 當地教會的需要 一位第一次來教會的女士好奇地問我，教會一般不是有很漂亮的建築嗎？芥菜種教會卻在三樓。是啊，這教會只佔一層，嬰幼兒室與聚會大廳只有一牆之隔，時時可以聽見幼兒的哭聲。相較之下、北美的教會實在富有丶服事的人也多。我們這一隊短宣隊有12個成員，活生生比人家教會職員（六人）多了一倍！人多不僅場面活潑、清潔，擺設桌椅等服事都輕易快速。當地職員六人已精簡到沒有替班，Ian說他都不敢請假，因為只要一請假就加增別人的工作量。 但我親愛的廣𡷊芥菜種教會建立三年半以來卻有大幅成長。我們有幸在週日就見證到三個人受洗。上帝實在祝福他們的事工！求呼召他們的上帝繼續保守帶領他們的事奉，並差遣短宣隊不時地舒緩他們沈重的工作量。 我們得到的祝福 短宣隊每個早晨都有晨修。我們使用 On Mission, Devotions for Your Short-Term Trip by Patric J. Knaak 一書作靈修。作者每日分享他自己曾經在短宣時遇到的掙扎進而從耶穌身上學到的真理及釋放，非常扎心，是非常好的提醒，叫人深思。有一天牧師問我們這次短宣沒有直接的宣教，或叫人決志，是否讓我們有遺憾？我們都說不會啊，因為這本書早已提醒我們耶穌說：「不要因鬼服了你們就歡喜。要以你們的名記錄，在天上歡喜。」（路加福音十：20）。並且所有的事工都將按上帝的旨意來完成，上帝𧶽聖靈，使我們得著能力。上帝是senior partner, 我們是junior partner。短宣隊本來就是要配合當地教會的需要服事。廣島芥菜種教會是主，他們知道他們需要什麼，我們配合便是。我們也都在他們指派的輔助工作上盡心盡力。來廣島之前我希望可以把我之所以從上帝得著的恩典和人分享。我預想的目標是慕道者或有佛教背景的信徒。沒想到我卻和三個牧師和一個staff分享了我的信仰過程，他們也都謝謝我的分享、為上帝如何釋放我身上的枷鎖而得到鼓勵。 我為短宣籌備課程以來的預備而感謝上帝。為牧師開的Foundation of Christian Faith 課程而讚美神！ 也為十天的分別為聖的機會感謝神。為給我支持並替我代禱的你們感謝神。祂是配得一切榮耀、讃美及尊榮的全能神！

詩篇九十篇～如何數算自己的日子，過有意義的人生

『觀察問題』 1，這首詩中如何對照、比較人的短暫和上帝的互古？ 人追求的千年，在神看來如同已過的昨日，夜間的一更，如水衝去，如睡一覺，每早發生的草。 2，這樣的對照，為了叫我們了解什麼？ 人的罪孽招致上帝的怒氣。 v3, 你使人歸於塵土，說，你們是人要歸回。 人當存著敬畏的心度剩餘的日子， v.12 『應用』 每天可做的禱告: v.14-17 satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, That we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, And for as many years as we have seen evil. Let your work be shown to your servants, And your glorious power to their children. Let the favor of the Lord, our God be upon us, And established the work of our hands upon us. Seek him first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these will be given to you.

Pre-trip Prayer Request

As our team is heading out tomorrow (meeting time at church is 4:30 AM!), I am sending this prayer request asking for your prayer support. 1. Earth quake and tsunami concerns especially in Japan and my hometown, Taiwan. 2. Physical and logistic challenges in the trip. I thank God for Shuti who takes good care of me in these aspects ever since we were married. But it also makes it a big deal for me to face them alone. Luckily I have a team to go to if needed. 3. Well-being of my mom and my brother in Taiwan, Shuti, Chris, Elizabeth, Phoebe, Joseph, and Emily. I am so grateful for Pastor Jeremy's Foundation class. we went over God's attributes as described in details in the book "Foundations of the Christian Faith" by Boice. The more we know about God's omnipotence, the holiness of God, the omniscience of God, and the unchangeableness of God, the more we are in awe with God. I re-wrote my testimony after studying this session of the book, as a preparation for this mission trip. May God give me the opportunities to share what I have learned about him and bring people to him. Thank you so much for your financial and prayer supports. Japanese Mind book club, Group Consciousness

Group consciousness ###background Chinmoku, 沈默、 presented by Dave. "The nail that sticks out gets hammered." Based on this philosophy, Group consciousness forms. Japanese people complies to group value, group aims, and group spirits. According to a survey, only 8% will make their opinion heard when it's different than the one taken by the group. Sempai/Kohai, the social hierarchy, presented by Greg, respecting the seniority and valuing the experience, also helps to form the group consciousness. in Japan, people needs a group to find its identity. There are several advantages of this approach: Pro 1: Group Harmony, unity makes the post war economic growth possible Pro 2: Collective Identity, help establish self esteem Pro 3: Respect for Seniority, value experience and tradition you run the risk to be an "outsider" when you do not comply to group consciousness. But, there are also problems associated with the group consciousness. If the group party and drink, there will be Peer pressure if you don't like drinking. Gangsters, bulliying at school can result from group consciousness. Con 1: Indirect Communication / no other voice, deters questioning traditions Con 2: Importance of Face and Reputation / Peer pressure Collectivism vs. Individuallism Chris' encounter with peer pressure Chris adapts to any environment very well. For school work, he figured out what the teachers expected of him himself, I never had to get involved. This is the good part, but I often worried how much he was going to bending over to meet others’s expectations. How was he going to respond to peer pressure. Even when he was in kindergarten, he would not change to shorts if he didn’t see other boys wearing them. Truth: Romans 12:2, do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. When Chris told me this is his favorite verse, I know God has given him the belt of truth to fight agains peer pressure. I also suffered from Group consciousness, especially in the religion realm. My mom took me along when she offered sacrifice to the false gods. I had questions, but I dared not to ask them. #Sacrifice why is there blood in the act of worsip? is God blood-thirsty? if so, isn't that strange? truth： Hebrews 9: 22 Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. Animal blood temporarily covers our sins, but the blood of Jesus removes our sins forever. #shrine 1 Kings 8 27 “But will God indeed dwell on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you; how much less this house that I have built! 28 Yet have regard to the prayer of your servant and to his plea, O Lord my God, listening to the cry and to the prayer that your servant prays before you this day, 29 that your eyes may be open night and day toward this house, the place of which you have said, ‘My name shall be there,’ that you may listen to the prayer that your servant offers toward this place. Acts 17 24 The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man,25 nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. 26 And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, 27 that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. He prays to it and says, “Deliver me, for you are my god!” I am so grateful that I was led to the US and attended Bible Studies. The Bible shows me the truth so that I could worship God in the ways that please Him. God delights for us to reason with him so that we could find the truth. Group consciousness could be a potential hindrend for the advancement of the gospel. one story helps me to re-think traditions. A newly wed couple is baking ham for dinner. The wife trims both ends of the ham before putting it in the oven. The husband wonders why she does that. The wife answers, "I don't know, my mom always does that." Theydecide to call her mom and dinds out why. But the mom gives the same answer as the wife. So they call the grandma. The Grandma says, "Yes, i did that, otherwise the ham can't fit into the pan." I hope in this trip, we could challenge the Hiroshima people to re-think their old practice and find Jesus is the perfect lamb, and the perfect Savior. Group competition The high school I went to in TaiWan is called “Taipei First Girls High” In Taiwan, we got into high school based on our high school entrance test scores. This means I met all the top students in my high school. Everyone is pretty competitive, and we have inter-class competitions for anything you can think of, math, science, poetry, sports, music, cooking, etc. Pretty soon, group consciousness is generated overwhelmingly. In fact, it got so bad that people from other classes look more and more like your enemies, at least your class’s enemies. We didn’t find any problem with this group consciousness until we got into the university. Again, people in Taiwan got into the Universities based on the scores from the university entrance exam. Most students got into National Taiwan University, which is the top one university in Taiwan, went to Taipei First Girls High. I found it odd when I met my new classmates and recognized some came from other classes of Taipei First Girls High. Are they my enemies or my friends? Is the group consciousness changed when circumstances changed? If so, how can it even be important? I have to admit I felt awkward with some of my college mates because we used to be class enemies in high school. If all high schoolers aimed for the same college, why couldn’t we help each other so we all went into the NTU, and made Taipei First Girls High better? If we can find the common goal, group consciousness is not needed. Especially God loves the world, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance (2Peter 3:9), there should not be any group competition among different Christian nominations.

廣島短宣五月update

很感謝你們對於我去廣島短宣的金錢和禱告支持，今天特別給一個報告。 回顧剛剛過去的復活節，這期間不管是從牧師的講道，或靈修小品，讓我在「耶穌是上帝所預備的羔羊」這件事情上有更多的得著。這原本就是我想要裝備自己的項目，我感謝上帝使得我的準備更加充份！我從小就看到媽媽每月初一、十五都在準備祭牲。但聖經告訴我們，耶穌才是上帝自己所預備的羔羊。 希伯來書第十章 4 因 為 公 牛 和 山 羊 的 血 ， 斷 不 能 除 罪 。 5 所 以 基 督 到 世 上 來 的 時 候 ， 就 說 ： 神 阿 ， 祭 物 和 禮 物 是 你 不 願 意 的 ； 你 曾 給 我 預 備 了 身 體 。 當日耶穌設立的聖餐裏面提到的這個身體，正是上帝為我們預備的耶穌。而耶穌為我們所流的血，也正是立新約的血。 7 那 時 我 說 ： 神 阿 ， 我 來 了 ， 為 要 照 你 的 旨 意 行 ； 我 的 事 在 經 卷 上 已 經 記 載 了 。 哥林多前書第十一章 24 祝 謝 了 ， 就 擘 開 ， 說 ： 這 是 我 的 身 體 ， 為 你 們 捨 的 ， 你 們 應 當 如 此 行 ， 為 的 是 記 念 我 。 25 飯 後 ， 也 照 樣 拿 起 杯 來 ， 說 ： 這 杯 是 用 我 的 血 所 立 的 新 約 ， 你 們 每 逢 喝 的 時 候 ， 要 如 此 行 ， 為 的 是 記 念 我 。 耶穌按上帝的旨意而行， 他的身體為我們而捨，他的血為我們而流，藉此成就了上帝所應許的新約。耶穌以自己的身體獻上一次而永遠的贖罪祭，就在上帝的右邊坐下了，這和舊約裏祭司、大祭司天天、屢次在沒有椅子的聖殿裏面獻祭卻不能除罪截然不同。 「義」這個字由「羊」和「我」組成，上帝看到的若是披戴耶穌、有耶穌寶血遮蓋的我，他就算我是義人、是與上帝關係和好的義人。求上帝藉著你們給我機會和廣𡷊人分享這個福音，使得人不用再為了逃避神的震怒而重覆獻上那不能除罪，只叫人想起罪的祭，那震怒是因人的叛逆而來，卻因為耶穌的順服而被平息。但願人人接受耶穌已經完成的救恩，卸下勞苦重擔、歇了自己的工，在耶穌裏面安息、やすみます。
